Our story
Run by a family, not a chain
Navin's Resort began with a simple idea: that a stay in the hills should feel personal. We are a small property — under fifteen rooms — owned and run by Navin and his family. There is no front-desk shift change, no anonymous call centre, no upsell script. When you arrive, you are met by the people who actually run the place.
Being small is the point. It means we can keep things calm, look after every guest properly, and pay attention to the details that larger hotels overlook. You are a guest here, not a booking reference.
Where we are
Chikhaldara, at 1,100 metres
Chikhaldara sits at roughly 1,100 metres in the Satpura ranges, in the Amravati district of Maharashtra. It is the only hill station in the Vidarbha region — and, unusually for this part of India, Maharashtra's only coffee-growing area. The hills here are green and forested, wrapped in mist for much of the year.
Because of the altitude, the climate stays cool and comfortable even when the plains below are baking. For anyone living through a Vidarbha summer, Chikhaldara is a genuine escape rather than a marketing line.

Forts, lakes, viewpoints and a coffee estate
There is more to do around Chikhaldara than a weekend allows. The ruined Gavilgad Fortrewards a morning's wander with sweeping views over the valley. Bhimkund, a deep natural pool tied to the Mahabharata, and the calm waters of Semadoh Lake are both within reach.
Closer to home, you can walk the coffee estate — a rarity in Maharashtra — or take in the laid-out greenery of the Pandit Nehru Botanical Garden. And of course, the Melghat Tiger Reserve is the headline act for anyone who wants to spend a day in the forest. We are happy to help you plan any of it.
